Lawful Permanent Residence (Green Cards)
Lawful Permanent residence allows an individual the right to live in, and travel to and from, the U.S. indefinitely without
further application. One way to obtain lawful permanent residence is through a family-based petition. You may be able to
obtain a green card through a qualifying relative who is either a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. A qualifying
relative includes a spouse, parent, child, or sibling.

Citizenship and Naturalization
There are four ways an individual may become a U.S. Citizen:
Birth in the U.S.,birth abroad of at least one U.S. Citizen parent, naturalization or Derivative citizenship through parent's
citizenship

Removal proceedings are complex and may render harsh consequences. An individual may be found deportable but may
still be eligible for some alternative form of relief including:
- 212(c)
- Asylum
